۵ TAGGING STYLE: PST (US west coast). I generally tag back everything in my inbox at least once per day. I try not to drop things but if I don't get a tag on a thread for over a week I tend to forget what was going on in it and I find it hard to stay interested, I'll admit that.
۵ ABOUT: Bird biologist, illustrator, lover of hiking and hard SF and tea. Sometimes I vanish for 2+ weeks at a time for work but I'll give you all a heads up before that happens. I usually return with cute bird photos so I try to make it worth the wait!

۵ SUMMARY: Too tall, very clumsy, always smoking a cigarette. More basic info here. Former Marine, tends not to get too close to people if he can help it but genuinely a good, nice dude. In Beacon, he's very driven to Get Shit Done and throws himself at explorations on a regular basis. Gravitates toward smart, motivated people who want to figure out this World Eaters issue.

۵ DESIRED CR: I always want him to meet more of the new people and I haven't kept up with that as well as I wish I could have in the last couple months. If you've never tagged him, please feel free if you see an open toplevel! Or come say hi here and I'll find an excuse to track yours down!
I'm always interested in engaging more people in explorations and general metaplot stuff. He's good at info dumping and wants everyone to collaborate and cooperate.
Also, totally down for some negative CR. He doesn't get much of that in general and some conflict is always fun.
۵ UNDESIRED CR: Nothing I can think of. It's a small community, everyone is bound to meet everyone else sooner or later!
۵ PLANS: Hoping to get an open toplevel up for the next event, since it's been a while. Otherwise: he's fascinated by all the stuff downtown and will continue to look for any sort of clues as to what past residents were up to, and anything that might hint at what the World Eaters even are and how to kill or lock them up. On the more personal front, he's slowly accepting that some of these people are indeed friends, and maybe it's okay to open up a little sometimes. Very slow process, though. I'd love for his close CR to push that a little more, just don't be put off if he nopes out. It's gonna take him some time.

I'M COOL WITH ALL THINGS. the only thing i'm not super interested in is romance without build-up, just because at his canon point, he's back with mj and was building towards proposing (a...again....).

In all seriousness, Duster isn't much of an energetic person, but he's a trained fighter and loyal friend who also happens to play a sick bass riff. He's just died after attempting to save the world, but in general he tends to feel hopeful about fixing problems.

۵ SUMMARY: a dumb dramatic cop from 19th century france. you all know him as that guy that hunted jean valjean for seventeen years because he broke his parole and stole. he used to be overly dedicated to his job, but he's a little bit less so now. he still has a huge amount of respect for authority, though, and is really uptight and proper most of the time.

in beacon, he's the guy that runs the weapons training and first aid lessons with bucky barnes and jason grace. when he's not doing that, he's usually out patrolling with matt murdock and keeping an eye on what everyone else is doing. he hasn't been around much in the last month, though, since he's been dealing with violent urges as a consequence the hint-o-matic, but that's over now.

۵ NAME: Kol Mikaelson.
۵ CANON: The Vampire Diaries/The Originals.
۵ SUMMARY: Over 1,000 years old, Kol suffers from middle child syndrome. He's one of the youngest of a family who likes to stab, humiliate, and kind of kill each other. His older brothers and younger sister often liked neutralising him for decades because he was just too fun and likeable! He's one of the first vampires ever created in his canon and is known as an Original Vampire. He has a reputation of being incredibly dangerous—he's reckless, impulsive, and quite often bored so therefore acts out. That said, he's actually quite fun and intelligent! Kol is only ever really aggressive when the situation calls for it. He's also died twice in canon, been to spirit/afterlife realms, and has a high respect for witches/spirits.

Kol's also keeping his status as a vampire on the down low because he comes from New Orleans where people hate vampires and Mikaelsons. He's pretending to be a witch—which he was before he was turned into a vampire by Mommy Dearest.

• FRIENDS — Kol's fun, caring, and pretty loyal if someone proves they don't want to stab him in the back. He'll defend you if you prove yourself to be someone he can trust. He lacks a lot of genuine friends in life and deserves a few of them here to challenge him to be a better person.

• MAGICAL PEEPS — Kol used to be a witch and enjoys all kinds of magic. He also knows Quite A Lot about magic during his long lifetime. He can be the Dumbledore to your Harry Potter.

• COMBAT TRAINING — Daddy-O used to be a Viking and I say he taught Kol how to fight hand to hand. It's something he wants to get back into and stop relying so heavily on his abilities. He's pretty aggressive and probably hardcore, but at least you'd know how to defend yourself.

• EXPLORATIONS — Kol wants to go exploring to find an exit door to this place.

• BASEBALL — I'm going to run a baseball game even if I don't know how to play baseball and even if it kills me.

• FLIRTING — Kol loves flirting and hearing people's heartbeats race. If he can't have his magic and if he's being sensible and not murdering anyone, let him have his fun.

۵ UNDESIRED CR: I'm cool with negative CR, only if it makes sense. Just note Kol can be quite aggressive towards people who are disrespectful/undermine him and it oftentimes leads to murder. He has a quick temper and doesn't tolerate disrespect. (Mikaelsons have an arrogance problem.)

۵ PLANS: Reconnecting with old pals. Kol lost Davina back in December and has been concealing, not feeling. He's determined to kind of have fun here while also getting into the nitty gritty so he can get back home. My plan for him is to hopefully get him back involved in metaplot things! He can offer a plethora of info on magic and spirits, and he's a pretty strong, resilient dude. He also misses his magic so please do it around him. 8( I also want him to prank a few people because he's the Fun Mikaelson and he's letting all of Beacond own. Also: shirtless opportunities. How to get rid of monsters? Show them Kol's abs.

۵ PLANS: Mewtwo is planning to move into the armory to act as its protector and also not FREEZE TO DEATH. Since it doesn't have any need for weapons and wouldn't have any reason to hoard them or do anything shady with them. It also plans to communicate with the spirits at some point to see if it can get a better read on them and their powers. It will not be exploring downtown because Molly is doing that.

They're just kinda quietly dealing with a lot of trauma by patrolling obsessively, protecting everyone they can get away with protecting, and insisting they're not a person. Currently using pronoun "they" unless their secondary mental voice, the Sergeant, is out and chatty, but literally doesn't care what you use.

۵ LINKS: Currently only has a top-level on the January intro log, no catch-alls for the month, though I'm happy to back-tag on my catch-all from last month. I could come up with one easy, though, if I get enough bites for specific scenes here.
۵ DESIRED CR: Students at Javert's weekly combat classes at the gym, particularly beginners. Negative CR cuz they kind of don't have any unless you count occasional weirdness with Rosinante? People they can mother-hen over, but who will do the same back to them.
۵ UNDESIRED CR: Romance? They're not in a place right now to even think about that. Touching is bad.
۵ PLANS: We are slowly (very slowly) working on personhood, here. And combating trauma-related reactions to things. I'd love for more people to figure out they in fact know their own name and are just hiding from it. Most of my plot-related plans are in connection to spirit communication, since they're helping Daylight with the language learning and are very proficient in Morse Code.

۵ SUMMARY: hey i'm sora i'm 19 and i never learned how to read

- This Sora is a CRAU! In savetheearth, Sora Kingdom Hearts died in an apocalypse that affected the entire multi-verse. This Sora is his reincarnation! (With a few twists.)
- Sora is 19, not 16! He has the cultural context of a New Jersey native circa 2016! oh my god he's almost 20....
- BUT because the world he was in didn't want to die, it took the original Sora's sort of... entire... essence? And started slowly putting it/him into the body of his reincarnation, a half-Pinoy kid called Skyler, effectively equipping him for the final apocalypse (which ended up being an alien invasion). Skyler, at the time, was very violently opposed to this.
- HOWEVER, due to various circumstances, Sora's now in charge of Skyler's body while Skyler sleeps in his heart! (Trust me, if Skyler's awake, you'll know.)
- The person currently at the helm is effectively Sora, just with a very spotty memory! He looks a bit older, with shorter hair and keyhole shaped pupils, but his life in his KH memories feels equally as real to him as what he's using from Skyler's memories to function as a human being. I'm in the process of replacing and updating his icons to reflect his current appearance, but feel free to assume that either he looks similar enough to Sora for it to be uncanny or he looks different enough for the similarities to be a coincidence!

If you want to do some reading up on Sora From New Jersey, here are some links ordered starting from simple explanations to text dumps: profile, a more technical breakdown in his HMD, his app for ITN.

He's great with kids, teens his age, adults, old people, babies, animals.............. the works! He is currently a tiny bit depressed but honestly he's going to be too focused on others to dwell on it. On the other side of the coin, if anyone would like to mess with his disaster zone of a brain, please let me know so we can talk about it!

I already have some CR who will emotionally support his way to figuring out how to talk to Riku again, but if you have an angle on that, let me know! Also, if he could make a friend that is open to hugs that would be perfect... please...!

۵ UNDESIRED CR: UH hm he probably wouldn't make a good boyfriend to anyone right now? Romance is out for the moment. Again, I think people who would end up making his mental situation worse, whether by accident or on purpose, are fine, but I'd like to talk about it first!
۵ PLANS: Sora will probably be spending the next month or so getting the Landmark fixed up! If that gets done in a timely fashion he'll be saving the world, as he does. He'll also be spending a lot of time actively pursuing his memories because he does not want to be a bad replacement Sora forever :(

Because of events like Enter the Sandman, it's fairly obvious Riku is a competent swordsman, has at least some magical healing abilities, as well as command over some kind of shadowy power. Each month he makes sure the log books are digitally copied to the network so that those who can't read can have the tablets read it to them.

You think I'd be more prepared for this since I've been in the game for the last six-seven monTHS BUT NO I KEEP FREEZING HERE. Daylight has two great legacies resting on his shoulder thanks to his universe still scarred from a great intergalactic war that spanned centuries and planets. Despite some hard knocks he got in life while growing up - never knowing his parents due to them dying young, losing his human family due to different lifespans, the isolation during his informative years - he tries his best to be optimistic and friendly. He's a big believer of everyone deserving a second chance and wants to keep the peace or do right by others. He tries his best in whatever he does, be it his job or simply trying to be supportive of his friends. I hope you like a tol metal boy always by your side, future friends.

Daylight has been in the game since its opening and he's been through a lot but determined to stay positive, stay optimistic that they can do this. He's currently working on a project - studying and explaining the spirits' language to make it more accessible to others, with a network post you can find in the LINKS section - and he's going to work on another future project this month: A memorial garden, a quiet place for people to ICly go to for rest and quiet if they need to hide away for a while.

- FUTURE PLANS: In the letter he got from Dr. Solis, there's a mention of the gift she gave to him - a music box that currently plays the spirits' language - having the ability to interact with the spirits. At some point I'm just going to have this boy run into the woods and... see what happens. You think his last encounter with spirits in Spooky Murder Woods would stop him BUT NO.

Also, more reasonably, he will continue to study the forest language with a new angle to help further the development: Flashcards! Thanks to Aziraphale's great suggestion, Day wants to find others who can help create a series of illustrated flashcards that will be presented to spirits, who will reply what it is in their melody so Day can note it down. Am I making any sense at all? Here's the thread between Daylight and Aziraphale to get a better idea of why this is so exciting for Day!

۵ PLANS: he is off doing rounds and hand wavey doing what he usually does because i am on hiatus. so no big plans, other than wanting to get him more involved in explorations when i'm off hiatus. i feel like he's got a lot to lend and i am struggling with explores solo, so throwing him on a team might help me be less terrible at the system.

I like to think I am fairly active, though who I am active with can vary. I play two guys here so I try to alternate tag times between the two. I prefer action to straight prose most days, though sometimes find myself falling back onto the latter by default. I will back tag into the sun, though I will sometimes drop threads if the thread took place A LONG TIME AGO and/or I have simply lost the focus of it. I apologize for that, it's not you or your character it's just sometimes I'm not sure how to continue or respond and after awhile I let it slip. Otherwise though, I don't mind being pinged for something from earlier in a given month or two.

۵ SUMMARY: Maes Hughes is a loving father and husband and military man. He went snooping around where he shouldn't and ended up dead in a phone booth. Worst anime death ever. In this case, shortly after he was shot, he was instead revived at the foot of a witch/goddess named Astoria who was gathering help to "fight the darkness." Maes was given teleporty powers, made new friend, and then when Astoria disappeared his extended warranty expired and now he's here.

۵ DESIRED CR: I'm really not picky. I love people Maes can befriend (cause he misses his bro, Roy) and I love people Maes can adopt/protect (because he misses watching out for the Elrics and Winry). He works well with clever types, people who want to look into things they shouldn't or shoot the breeze in terms of conspiracy theories. He will also immediately befriend you if you are a cook/baker of some kind.
۵ UNDESIRED CR: Nothing romantic. Maes isn't the kind of guy to cheat on his wife, even if he does technically have a "until death do us part" clause. He's upset I'm even joking about that...
۵ PLANS: Recently Maes received a shipment of cots that he proceeded to donate to the store and the Invincible. He has opened his home to potential roommates -- though that may be a moot point since we have the Landmark open. Which, by the by, he was in the group to discover. Maes is still plotting out future explorations (at least in theory) because THAT ONE confirmed that the locations he found in his dream awhile back are REAL. So he wants to eventually set out to find the others. Blizzard means he is holed up in his cabin (with a torch-powered fire place so ah warmth).

Currently, he is following some leads and hunches among the NPCs and adding to his personal notebook and conspiracy board.

۵ SUMMARY: Ellever is a Child of the Nine, the half-human daughter of one of the nine creatures that want to eat our dimension (among other things). She's the daughter of the creature that humans call Conquest, who, according to prophecy, arrives first at the end of the world to start the destruction. According to the same prophecy, Ellever starts that apocalypse, which is why she was drugged and shot in the head by the woman she was starting to regard as a maternal figure (ouch). Ellever looks to be in her early twenties but is actually forty-two; the Children are immortal as far as dying from old age is concerned. She was raised by Ezra Zier, a man who started a security company as a way to earn money to research the Strange and Weird, and grew up with nonhumans as well. Because of his kindly nature, Ellever was steered in the right direction and is a pretty stellar person as far as "moral compasses" go (Children of the Nine often don't have them). She was ten years old when a psychic who worked for her dad made a prophecy that she would end the world, calling her the antichrist because she had no other frame of reference for her parentage. So that's what Ellever tends to think of herself as. At the time of her death, Ellever was trying to work out how she'd be able to end the world so that she could avoid doing it. Right now she's hoping her death didn't jump-start it. Here's more info, I babble too much.

۵ DESIRED CR: Friends, friends, friends, Ellever would love to have more buddies. She grew up pretty damn isolated from other people. And she's still working through the whole "did my death cause the apocalypse?" in her mind, so people to talk to for distraction or food for thought are good. Ellever is very careful about who she tells her heritage to because she has a massive guilt complex over being the bringer of the end, but she'd open up to supernatural friends who wanted a buddy to talk heavy stuff over with. She'd really like to interact with more spirits, so exploring or mystery solving buddies would be great; back home she investigates cryptids, and finds most of the ones she looks for, so she could be useful for research!

۵ PLANS: Presently, Ellever is working on translating the notes of how characters communicate with other spirits into instruments other than the ocarinas or the tablets. She's not musically trained, so she's having to train herself a bit first... which she's loving tbh. Distractions, huzzah!
