۵ SUMMARY: 3rd century Chinese emperor who ended the Han, then took a slight detour into a demon dimension. Believes he's better than all y'all, interests include tactics, archery, and poetry. Dislikes idiots and snakes. Has a fucking gorgeous wife and is glad she's not dead like him. Killed by a mountain-sized 8-headed serpent monster in a daringly altruistic last stand at Hulao Gate.

۵ DESIRED CR: more folks he might have things in common with (e.g. ruling a kingdom, big into swords or poetry, stupidly smart, etc). Potential Go opponents, he's got a board now! Fair warning that even if he respects people he's always looking for how they can fit into his plans, as a retainer or soldier or just someone to use. He can't turn it off. ALSO fuck yes negative CR, he's smug and sarcastic and that's going to rub people the wrong way and I accept this about him. Please sass him back and put him in his place.

۵ PLANS: ICly he really does want to know if anyone else wants to help him rule since he did offer, don't let him take over by himself. I mean, it won't end badly since he's a damn good administrator who kept Wei peaceful until his death but he's also a very um. Hard person to get along with especially if he's giving orders. He'll probably post about leadership and defenses again after the Sandman event is over depending on how not-dead he is. This event is going to encourage him to push hard for someone to take charge and for Beacon to be more organized to handle scenarios exactly like this one. Basically it's not about his ego, he just sees a problem that he's capable of fixing if people would just let him omg.

(oocly let's be real I don't have it in me to be solely in charge of IC leadership so if anyone wants to step up to help, please do! we can work on IC reasons and Cao Pi has already agreed to be part of a council if they can form one)

۵ TAGGING STYLE: for the foreseeable future i'm bout to be slow as shit so let's just put that out there LOL... i prioritize my npcs over newt, and lately i've been busy with modwork/prepping for sandman and i'm in a murdergame (which is due to finish in ~2 weeks!). i'll be able to hop back on the horse and get back to my usual like mediumish pace after november's over, but until then, i am a glacier.
۵ ABOUT: hey all, i'm your head mod, and i've finally got a PC OF MY OWN, HUZZAH!! i'm very hype to get to experience the game at the player level, though full disclosure, newt's mostly a side hustle for me? modding's always gonna come first, so sometimes (like with the sandman event) he's gonna get banished to the backburner while i, y'know, run the game. i'm gonna keep him away from the plot and just focus on his character arc and getting some good good cr with him.

on that note, i'm chill af as a player. i'm good with whatever pace/tagging speeds, i don't mind curveballs and rolling with the punches, i promise i won't be nitpickily reading tags like "hm they got this game detail wrong!!!", newt is literally just in game for me to dick around and have fun with him. i have no real huge plans in mind so like. come at me and let's see what happens. ۵ SUMMARY: GOD I'M JUST LINKING HIS APP IDK HERE - the tldr is that he's a biologist/mechanical engineer in a world dealing with an alien invasion, and he's died trying to do batshit science stuff to save his world, so now he's in beacon and has been uhhh cockblocked out of saving humanity and is not taking it well. he's loud, blunt, obnoxious, easily set off, arrogant, selfish, and wants desperately to be viewed as a rock star, but he's also a genius, optimistic, adaptable, passionate, can be fun to be around, and like. he's genuinely a good guy, although that's not always the vibe he puts out into the world.

۵ DESIRED CR: Literally anything. I know that's super not helpful so I'll come up with something better for the next cr meme, but for now? I just want to throw him against everyone and see what sticks. I promise not to be a soggy slice of white bread about cr though - I am real good at finding excuses to slam characters together so I'm down to shoot the shit and come up with a plan as opposed to "tag my vague starter and let's see what happens!" if that's not your bag. Some ideas to start: science buds, music buds (newt can play 289374234 instruments...), he could teach your character skills, they could build a thing together, he has alien tattoos that could be a jumping off point for conversation, misfire texts could happen... I'M OPEN.
۵ UNDESIRED CR: Full disclosure, Kit and I plan to ship Newt and Rosalind in some way so shipping is out for Newt. I'm down to do like flirty stuff or w/e since we're slow burning and Newt just got here like four seconds ago, but longterm, Ros has dibs. I'll also say upfront that I'm totally down for negative cr, but that might be subject to change in the future? This is purely because I play NPCs and NPCs can be neg cr magnets - right now I've got a great balance, but I'd prefer not to be playing mostly negative cr. It's just another "prioritizing mod stuff over my PC" thing, since I'm not about to police how y'all engage with the NPCs LOL so if I start to acquire too much negative stuff, I might just need to put that CR on hold somehow for a lil bit. That said, Newt's definitely going to acquire some neg cr LMAO that's just how he be, so don't be afraid to come at him guns blazing. I'll let you know if I need to adjust at any point and we can work something out.

God I can tell you right now that Rosi is going to be so annoyed at himself for slacking on maintaining some kind of safety protocol like what they talked about at Town Hall many moons ago. As if it's his fault but you know. Chaos and violence and probably multiple deaths are not gonna sit well with him.

Obviously no ruler but he's got Cao Pi's back on this whole thing.

Don't worry, he'll actually be kicking himself pretty hard for letting something like hallucinations get in his way. Yes he can be mad at himself for something he can't control, that's how he roll.

Oh her orders aren't the Crowley-level stupid. She's actually smart. In game, she always has several plans in store, because she knows Rakan (her bf) always forgets the plans. She's great at improvising so I think they'll manage xD

Bewilder him with your future tech, because apparently that's an ongoing theme here. For real though when I get back from travel I'm making this CR happen one way or another.

Not really science guy, but he had quite a few science guy (or alchemist guy) friends.

I think these two would have fun energy logs and Maes is quite observant and a quick witted fellow.

And really I just want Newt CR

we need to have these two spar because i feel like kol would not only pose a challenge for javert but maybe kol can learn some things! like how to fight without relying so much on his abilities.

talk about slow burn but i feel like javert is on the top of my list of people kol might confess he's a vamp to! watch this space.

CHARACTER INFORMATION

۵ NAME: Kol Mikaelson.
۵ CANON: The Vampire Diaries/The Originals.
۵ SUMMARY: Over 1,000 years old, Kol suffers from middle child syndrome. He's one of the youngest of a family who likes to stab, humiliate, and kind of kill each other. His older brothers and younger sister often liked neutralising him for decades because he was just too fun and likeable! He's one of the first vampires ever created in his canon and is known as an Original Vampire. He has a reputation of being incredibly dangerous—he's reckless, impulsive, and quite often bored so therefore acts out. That said, he's actually quite fun and intelligent! Kol is only ever really aggressive when the situation calls for it. He's also died twice in canon, been to spirit/afterlife realms, and has a high respect for witches/spirits.

Kol's also keeping his status as a vampire on the down low because he comes from New Orleans where people hate vampires and Mikaelsons. He's pretending to be a witch—which he was before he was turned into a vampire by Mommy Dearest.

FRIENDS — Kol's fun, caring, and pretty loyal if someone proves they don't want to stab him in the back. He'll defend you if you prove yourself to be someone he can trust. He lacks a lot of genuine friends in life and deserves a few of them here to challenge him to be a better person.
MAGICAL PEEPS — Kol used to be a witch and enjoys all kinds of magic. He also knows Quite A Lot about magic during his long lifetime. He can be the Dumbledore to your Harry Potter.
COMBAT TRAINING — Daddy-O used to be a Viking and I say he taught Kol how to fight hand to hand. It's something he wants to get back into and stop relying so heavily on his abilities. He's pretty aggressive and probably hardcore, but at least you'd know how to defend yourself.
EXPLORATIONS — Kol wants to go exploring to find an exit door to this place.
BASEBALL — I'm going to run a baseball game even if I don't know how to play baseball and even if it kills me.
FLIRTING — Kol loves flirting and hearing people's heartbeats race. If he can't have his magic and if he's being sensible and not murdering anyone, let him have his fun.

۵ UNDESIRED CR: I'm cool with negative CR, only if it makes sense. Just note Kol can be quite aggressive towards people who are disrespectful/undermine him and it oftentimes leads to murder. He has a quick temper and doesn't tolerate disrespect. (Mikaelsons have an arrogance problem.)
۵ PLANS: Kol's going to go zzzz in the Sandman plot. I'm not sure what's happening after that, but I want Kol to dig his teeth into the metaplot a bit more and try to work on his relationships with the spirits. My personal character arc for him is for him to develop genuine friendships that will provide him with opportunities to be genuinely selfless (and also so I can activate my little plot for him to have his soul hex here!).

Hey! So depending on how things turn out after the big event and assuming they both come out of it with like, enough limbs and stuff to get on with, I think Rosi has pegged Jason as his go-to for his first slightly extended boating trip buddy down the lakeshore to explore. That would probably happen sometime early December. Would you/he be interested?

He could do that! He's not going to just accept that he's stuck here, he can't be dead if he has to sleep here. Sleep is for the weak.

Being friends with a demon will not be the worst thing he's done.

And don't worry, Crowley is basically the worst demon so he'd be nothing but a good influence.

I mostly tag in my evenings/afternoons, but I try to sneak tags in on my lunch break. I've been a bit swamped with RL things that are finally cooling down, but otherwise like to do at least one round of tags per character per day. I'm usually not around for boomeranging, but if it works out time wise, I'm happy to do it! We can backtag forever if the thread content lends itself to that.
۵ ABOUT: I'm German, I'm 32, I've sold my soul to the Void (aka Nisha, the sweetest black cat to ever cat. She's great).

I work as customer service agent for Amazon in an home office gig, which is very chill.

I'm never around on Sunday nights, because that's when I run my weekly D&D game. Other than that, I love board games, watch too much TV, and adore video games, particularly the old school western RP corner like Baldur's Gate etc that has seen its revival in titles like Pillars of Eternity and Divinity: Original Sin. I'm also loving FF XIV a lot!

Besides that, I adore cooking and baking, and I live on black tea and white wine.

Oh, and I have a tattoo of a quill that I want to expand on or add to or just touch up. I got it almost ten years ago in NYC, and it covers my inner forearm from wrist to crook.

I think both Jason and Maes have serious potential for CR with Cao Pi and we have definitely laid the ground work.

Maes could probably be taught Go, I have no idea he might already know some version so IDK.

Also, Eleven is easy to manipulate if she likes you or trusts you. She'll take lessons learned from others too heart - sometimes to a fault. When she's annoyed or peeved, she can be very petulant or downright volatile with her powers - and I'd love for someone to be a bit of a bad influence on her in that.

Other than that, I love for her to learn new things - from values to cute fun stuff to messing around with other powered people. If you want to teach her the right (or wrong) thing, please do hit me up.

In particularly I'm also really interested in getting a chance for her to open up about her past trauma, but that's not likely to happen unless you have close CR with her.

۵ PLANS: She can be spotted around Beacon still wearing those small cone shaped plague doctor-esque beak masks Misty made in October, being a creepy little murder child and potential future super hero (Spider-Man is teaching her about secret identities. Please do not be surprised if she introduces herself as Bird Girl and insists on being called that).

She's a Defender in the upcoming event, and will absolutely fuck some spirits up and overuse her powers, so after the event she might have to cope without her powers for some time. Oops?

She will also be organizing some Secret Santa Stuff in December, because it's cute.
