۵ ABOUT: I am old as dirt, I have two cats, I own my own business (hence the wtf schedule), transman they/them, I'm into cosplay, history, cooking, gardening, Japanese culture, and One Piece as well as Toei Warriors games.

۵ SUMMARY: 3rd century Chinese emperor who ended the Han, then took a slight detour into a demon dimension. Believes he's better than all y'all, interests include tactics, archery, and poetry. Dislikes idiots and snakes. Has a fucking gorgeous wife and is glad she's not dead like him. Killed by a mountain-sized 8-headed serpent monster in a daringly altruistic last stand at Hulao Gate.

I will probably toplevel and have a loose timeline set with a few confirmed co-ops, but I'm not sure how much time I'll have to spontaneously jump into threads so it might be easier to hit me up oocly so you know for sure I'm finding your character.
۵ DESIRED CR: more folks he might have things in common with (e.g. ruling a kingdom, big into swords or poetry, stupidly smart, etc). Potential Go opponents, he's got a board now! Fair warning that even if he respects people he's always looking for how they can fit into his plans, as a retainer or soldier or just someone to use. He can't turn it off. ALSO fuck yes negative CR, he's smug and sarcastic and that's going to rub people the wrong way and I accept this about him. Please sass him back and put him in his place.
۵ UNDESIRED CR: ships. that's all.
۵ PLANS: ICly he really does want to know if anyone else wants to help him rule since he did offer, don't let him take over by himself. I mean, it won't end badly since he's a damn good administrator who kept Wei peaceful until his death but he's also a very um. Hard person to get along with especially if he's giving orders. He'll probably post about leadership and defenses again after the Sandman event is over depending on how not-dead he is. This event is going to encourage him to push hard for someone to take charge and for Beacon to be more organized to handle scenarios exactly like this one. Basically it's not about his ego, he just sees a problem that he's capable of fixing if people would just let him omg.

(oocly let's be real I don't have it in me to be solely in charge of IC leadership so if anyone wants to step up to help, please do! we can work on IC reasons and Cao Pi has already agreed to be part of a council if they can form one)

God I can tell you right now that Rosi is going to be so annoyed at himself for slacking on maintaining some kind of safety protocol like what they talked about at Town Hall many moons ago. As if it's his fault but you know. Chaos and violence and probably multiple deaths are not gonna sit well with him.

Obviously no ruler but he's got Cao Pi's back on this whole thing.

Don't worry, he'll actually be kicking himself pretty hard for letting something like hallucinations get in his way. Yes he can be mad at himself for something he can't control, that's how he roll.

They can play Go and gripe about the state of things over tea/coffee/cigarettes like the old men they're not.

I think both Jason and Maes have serious potential for CR with Cao Pi and we have definitely laid the ground work.

Maes could probably be taught Go, I have no idea he might already know some version so IDK.

absolutely, we've got good threads on both ends so it's more a matter of, how do things roll out from here? At last with Hughes Cao Pi has that whole "oh he's a general that means he understands hierarchy and order" thing going on. That could always come back to bite him in the ass, too.

It likely will since most things seem to bite Maes in the ass.

On the other hand, Maes has sort of spent most of his adulthood supporting one guy for Fuhrer, so it's going to be hard to get him to 100% support Cao Pi as RULER per-say. But he would definitely support the idea of an organized council and could probably help getting that together. And, as mentioned way back in the town hall, Jason would be all over that as well. He'd probably also be a good one to bring on board anyway since he might get more of the rebellious teens to listen than if it's JUST the adults doing the talking.

Not saying that he has established as leader for the teens in game, just that having some of the younger set on board probably wouldn't hurt in Cao Pi's big plans |Db

I need to stop playing all the leader-ish characters...

HAHA god I feel that. Yeah, Jason's already got a good in and Cao Pi will be tapping him for future projects, but he's probably also going to collect Hughes. Especially if they ever get to sit down and talk about family.

With Hughes it is only a matter of time before he brings up family.

i've been meaning to have javert help out with the council, i just never got around to it. obviously he'd prefer to be the one receiving orders, but since there aren't very many respectable authority figures here (in his opinion), he'll take one for the team.

haha yeah I dropped the ball a bit but hey, the hallucination event is an excellent reason why they all would have been too out of it to think for a couple weeks there. forging ahead it is.

I'm sorry I have been so ridiculously slow, but I enjoy Kol and Cao Pi and the fact that Cao Pi seems so serious. (Kol is not so serious.) Kol finds him super interesting, given what he's briefly told him about his relationship with demons. They've yet to discover that they both like big swords (Kol likes sticking it into people more than anything else) and good literature, but he doesn't know what it's like to rule a kingdom. Please tell him how to do this.

Yes bring me more Kol. They have things in common they can chat over. At the very least the event should give an opportunity to see him swordfighting or talk tactics to lay groundwork for future actual talking.

Kol is zzzing for this event :c but I'm sure they'll have some things to discuss! Like how this place can't even let you trust the food! 😤 Do kidnappers usually spike food? This is one thing he doesn't know.
