The first part is sort of the initial impression he likes to give people, which is that he's pretty nonchalant and doesn't really care much about anything. He also gives off "dumb ho" vibes, which are only partially true - he's actually quite intelligent in the instinct sense, but not the book smart sense. Once you get to know him, he's actually surprisingly selfless. He really cares a lot about the people he lets in, but emotions are scary and confusing.

I'm about to get promoted at work so I'm not sure how that will effect my schedule, and I do theatre projects throughout the year but!
