Hello everyone and welcome to the game's third CR Meme! As always, it's been incredible to see just how much everyone has been willing to reach out to one another both in and out of character, and with a wide variety of new players (and new characters from old players) having joined us recently, there's sure to be a lot to talk about! CHARACTER INFORMATION

۵ NAME: Castiel
۵ CANON: Supernatural
۵ SUMMARY: Castiel is an angel of the Lord - a poor example of one. He's rebelled against Heaven to save humanity, has already died three times before Beacon, has declared himself God, wiped out half of Heaven, lost his memories, regained them but lost his mind, regained that but also gained depression and self-loathing. Shortly before his trip here he was also badly brainwashed. He's billions of years old but still learning about that being a person thing - why are my characters the same? Please send help. He can be obtuse - sometimes deliberately so - or take things too literally - sometimes deliberately so. He's a soldier, good with a blade and obscure spell work. I put his grace, so the source of his power and everything celestial about him, in his lantern, so he can kill himself using his powers too much without resting, because I'm a dick like that. ۵ DESIRED CR: Explores. You want celestial backup on your forays into the woods? Please hit me up. Castiel will happily tag along and make himself useful in any way he can, and doesn't care that it might get him hurt or dead.

I'd love to bounce Castiel off of religious characters, because he might accidentally and/or deliberately take a sledgehammer to their beliefs. He's genuinely compassionate when he wants to be or remembers to be, though.

I'd love to hook him up with people to patrol with, people to spar with. He's slipping right back into a very mission oriented mind set, and fuelled by his depression and sense of guilt and self-loathing will absolutely end up being a bit self-sacrificial whenever the opportunity presents itself.

I'd love to get him some CR that learns eventually what this boy's been through, and has his back and cares for him, and maybe makes him slow down and just learn to be a little less tin soldier and a little more caring.

He's also available for any of your soul searching needs - Castiel can read minds and theoretically get a pretty good glimpse at your character's soul, so if you have something you want to thread that your character would not otherwise mention, and you'd like to have it plucked out of their mind... go for it. He can also dreamwalk.

Oh, and... please try to get him drunk. It's hard, it requires quite the amount. But it's hilarious, promise.
۵ UNDESIRED CR: Negative CR is fine, but I'd rather not have someone pretend to be Castiel's friend and then stab him in the back. That happens in canon way too often.
۵ PLANS: Castiel can regularly be found patrolling Beacon, doing perimeter checks. If someone needs healing, he'll provide, and it'll noticably sap light from his lantern. Finite resource he's working with. I fully plan to have him very offended over any angel-related holiday decorations in December. Otherwise, what he gets up to really depends on the outcome of the Sandman event.

I somehow haven’t threaded with you since we first did a TDM with Crowley and Jason.

And I need more. I think, however, that Crowley and Maes would make for some interesting CR. He could help add some more logic or words of caution to future escape attempts if nothing else.

My god. Please, please have her introduce herself to Rosi as Bird Girl because that's incredibly adorable. He has such a soft spot for kids, especially confident battle kids who actually need a hug sometimes but hate showing it.

I absolutely want CR with Molly. Would he like a depressed, obtuse angel or a 14 year old telekinetic I wonder? Eleven at the very least would be very impressed by card tricks...

he sure can!! matt's a lot more competent than the last lawyer javert met so he can stay. it'd be pretty easy to figure out where to meet him since javert keeps to a pretty rigid patrolling schedule.

me too!! javert actually has a surprising amount of empathy for bucky since he's experiencing a lot of the same issues. he's trying to help.

this conversation of them talking about feelings is so funny, it's like the blind leading the blind. one day maybe they'll figure out how to be normal people...

۵ ABOUT: I work for a major university in Indiana, so my life basically revolves around university life and the wonderful college town I'm lucky to live in. I have a cat who is a delightful pain in the ass, an adoration-bordering-obsession for fountain pens and bullet journaling, and have recently swan-dived into the world of tabletop gaming via Call of Cthulhu. My major fandoms are Star Wars and Marvel, so those frequently come up in conversation, and I like to play a lot of board games.

I'd love to get Cas involved in some strategizing re: world eaters. He's been a soldier for billions of years, and he likes applying himself to a mission.

۵ SUMMARY: Who is Buffy Summers? She's a California Girl turned Vampire Slayer who died and saved the world a lot. She has a Chosen One complex and is used to having the weight of the world on her shoulders... so being in Beacon is actually kind of like a vacation. Minus the fun in the sun.

— Scooby Gang 2.0: The Slayer might walk alone but Buffy is nothing without her friends. She needs them to have her back, to see her as more than just a tool to fight back the darkness, and to give her a reason to keep fighting.
— Hey I Died Twice: Anyone else want to talk about the whole We Died thing? Because she's on her 4th Death and she's got a lot of perspective on things. She was even pulled out of her final rest in Heaven and went through some bad depression afterward, so she has things to say about their present situation.
— Bad Decision Pals: Who wants to venture into the forest and poke a sleeping monster? Try to wade the river? Go exploring again and again despite that whole death issue? They're not going to get answers if they don't break a few Beacon Bits.
— Training Partners: Sparring partners (any superstrong folks, yes please), people to put her through her paces, etc.
۵ UNDESIRED CR: Super antagonist/negative CR is the only thing I'm not into right now, but we can absolutely do more mild levels and work up to the big stuff.
۵ PLANS: Buffy is presently settling in after having arrived this month with her trusty scythe. Some stuff I'd love to explore with her:
— Investigating Beacon: Buffy's used to getting her investigation on and Beacon is more of the usual weirdness for her, just less Hellmouthy, more Interdimensional Afterlifey. Especially after being part of the Dream Team at the Lighthouse, she's going to be very interested in what the heck is going on here. Who else is getting their research on? Scoobies 2.0, assemble!
— Exploring: There are monsters in the woods? Cool, let's go find them, and find all the other hidden parts of Beacon. Who else wants to be dumb and get killed a lot?

۵ SUMMARY: The cutest sad vampire you'll ever meet? Elena was a normal teenage girl until her parents died and she discovered that vampires existed. Fast forward three years and she's lost most of her family, numerous friends, and the love of her life, become a vampire against her will, and been killed too many times to count. Yet despite her crappy life, she's still full of compassion for others and loyal to a fault — she's died to save the people she loved, and that's just the start of her Bad Decision history.

۵ DESIRED CR: Friends! Enemies! ~~Lovers!~~ To be specific:
— Shoulder to Cry On: Elena has been through a lot of shit recently and hasn't properly processed her grief. She could really use someone to force her to face these things and/or help her on the journey toward healing.
— Someone to Take Care Of: What it says on the tin. Elena does best when she has someone else to worry about and look after. Friends, people who can't stand up for themselves, even just allies, they'll keep her from focusing too much on her own misery.
— Magical Types: Do you need any magical blood for spells? She has it in spades. Use it for anything except hurting people and she'll gladly donate to the cause, especially if it helps understand this weird place they've found themselves in.
— Blood Donors: A girl has got to eat, after all. Well, technically she doesn't here, but a hangry vampire is not something anyone wants to deal with, okay?
— Drinking Buddies: Alcohol helps curb the blood cravings and it's just not as fun drinking alone.
۵ UNDESIRED CR: Honestly, I'm game for anything except extreme negative/antagonistic CR. I might be up for that later on, but I'd like to avoid that particular brand of relationship for right now. We can definitely start laying groundwork for it if that's something you're interested in longterm, though.
۵ PLANS:
— Sad Girl Things: Elena's current daily life consists of helping around Beacon and pretending that Everything is Fine. She's become a professional at hiding her pain and grief, and while the lantern ceremony helped ease that ache a little, there's still quite a lot to bury under layers of other things.
— Holiday Festivities: I'd love for someone to get Elena involved with doing something for Christmas in Beacon. She's already going to be showing Jon what the winter holidays are like, so someone just needs to give her a little nudge to get her spreading the cheer to the whole town.
۵ ANYTHING ELSE?

Ooh yes good! I imagine there will be some scrambling and like, local safety/organizing sorts of things going on immediately after the event but once people are done panicking over what happened, Rosi is definitely going to want to get back to focusing on long-term stuff. We'll have to have them bump into each other one way or another and get talking. He's getting concerned about how fast their estimated clock is ticking down.

I am sad I haven’t managed to cross paths with Peter yet. Jason Grace is a superhero in everything but name and Maes is just a generally friendly guy.

yes absolutely! not only are they fellow law enforcement, but javert would definitely want to talk to him about strategies and the world eaters. that could be a conversation they have after the event though, once javert sees him in action and asks about his background.

Yessss good. Yeah, let's definitely have them talk after the event. The clock is ticking down fast and Rosi will be pretty proactive about asking people to think harder about the big threat on the horizon too so one way or another it will definitely get brought up as a topic.

Well, I'm all about bringing 'em together again.

Let's definitely get Jason and Crowley chattin' at the event, and I'll toss up Crowley's open post right after the event. I've already got it written, ready to go up once everything finishes up.

I one hundred percent need Buffy CR for supernatural canon reasons, obviously. She is always up for sparring/training to keep on her toes now that she's not in school and she's probably not as strong as Buffy but she's no slouch either, especially when she gets her magic in the mix.

Definitely here for some demon-angel CR. I like what's going on with them so far, and I'm all about seeing where it goes next. Crowley's got quite the crisis of his own faith in canon, so that might be interesting to explore.

Hope is still okay with Elena using her as a walking blood bag if she's up for that. She'd heal it faster than most, after all.

She needs to work on her grief too, so it might be fun for them to process some stuff together. She's at least a little further along than Elena, but mutual orphans is always something to bond over.

Just gotta get past the awkward lol
