۵ TAGGING STYLE: I'm in US Pacific time, and I reply to tags at least once a day, often quicker. That said, right now I'm mostly limited to evenings because my internet suffers and cuts out at random during all daylight hours. They say they're fixing it this week. We'll see.
۵ ABOUT: Avian ecologist and scientific illustrator, I also love plants and gardening, cooking, Dungeons and Dragons, and science fiction. Currently enjoying Lovecraft Country, obsessed with Kingdom 24/7. Don't ask how many hours I've put into Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord because the game isn't even full released yet and nobody has any need to play an early access game this much.

۵ SUMMARY: At over 9.5 feet tall, he's hard to miss around town, so even if you've never tagged feel free to assume your character has at least seen him. Smokes like a chimney, always falling over and terribly clumsy, tends to hang back and listen more than he talks. But he's been in Beacon since the first day after the last reset, and makes it his personal goal to help out in any way he can.
Pretty much completely inseparable with Law so if you've seen one you've also seen the other. When he's not immediately next to Law he's probably with Mary or Will. For someone who's spent most of his life alone, he's pretty much never alone now.

۵ LINKS: I'll have a toplevel at the upcoming event but nothing recent otherwise. That said, I'm happy to backtag to eternity and if anyone still wants in on the carnival event I'm all for it. Otherwise, HMD/permissions/warnings can be found here.
۵ DESIRED CR: As someone with a pretty deep knowledge of the history of the current incarnation of the town, as well as a pretty solid gauge on what's known so far, he's a good one to go to if you need some direction or ideas, or just want to talk about how to handle the long-term World Eater problem. He's been pretty invested in all that from the start. He's also a big help in exploring if anyone wants to go check out the remaining hidden areas in the forest and needs a tall tank of a dude with lots of ammo on him.
I'll also add here that if you want to befriend him, patience and persistence are key. He's nice by default, but he doesn't open up without actual literal months of earning his trust, so anyone willing to put up with that, please come to him.
۵ UNDESIRED CR: Nothing really! I'm open to everything.
۵ PLANS: He's just gotten back from an explore where they discovered a train station while looking for signs of what might have happened to the Wild Hunt. I'll be putting up a network post to discuss this later today. But in that, I definitely also welcome anyone who wants to talk about future explore directions, or even what else should be done long-term about some of the things that have been found recently.
He also definitely wants to get back down to the Helix Station asap because there's useful stuff in there, and he wants to make sure Weaver has what she needs since her robot-making skills are one hell of an asset. They also had the skills and the tech to get specific items from people's home worlds, and he'd really like access to that. Anyone science-minded who wants to come along would be a big asset because while he's pretty bright, he tends to accumulate a ton of information and then not know what all to do with it if it gets technical.

Soldat also has promised to go back down to the Helix station and try to negotiate with the last big spirit down there... and maybe kill more mimic spirits. They can do that together maybe? He's not exactly a science guy but he knows a fair bit amount the tech, at least.
