Yeah, she's stubborn. The spirits don't always know what to make of her either, sometimes.

[And it's not all bad. Taking them by surprise with kindness has its benefits, strangely enough, so long as she doesn't run into the ones that just don't care.]

Before she died, she didn't really have friends that treated her well. Be patient with her, all right?

[Whoever Law has become now, Rosinante wouldn't exactly have called him "patient" as a kid, that's for sure. Or gentle, or kind, or the sort of things Rosinante tries to be for Mary who died too young and whose "friends" abused her trust and sent her here. He doesn't take in every stray child, but some just need a little more love and care in their lives.]
