You don't want to get your things at the cabin, or-- no? Okay.

[A brief pause because wow, Eliot. Straight to the point and not wasting a minute, and Quentin ignores the way it makes his heart skip a beat to see that smile.]

So. I know we all came here through a portal. Someone, or something, is grabbing us when we die. I guess the portal is somewhere over the lake, or close to where the ferry docks, but I can't get to it. Every time someone tries to go across the water, they die. Someone, some really big idiot, tried to steal the ferry and crashed it. So, there's really no way to get to that portal.

[There are notes on his tablet, and more notes back at the cabin, all stacked up in neat piles on every available surface, but Quentin still has most of it memorized.]

Can't fly over the water, can't swim or use a boat to get across. At one point, I thought that maybe the girl in the lighthouse-- Robin. That she wasn't real? She's the one who resets us, if we fail. Maybe she was an A.I., maybe she was one of those spirits wearing a Robin-suit. But, she's real. Young, but real.

[And he goes on, explaining the hallucinations and the green eyed spirits, the attack that came after the feast and the 'rules' - find a way or get reset. About the twenty other resets in the past twenty-five years and the few leads they got from the dreamers. About the killing fair and the portals opened in the past. About something looking back through that portal.

Quentin talks for a while, hands waving through the air as he explains and the only thing he doesn't mention, is Eliot. How Eliot was there, every step of the way and about the bedroom they shared.]

And yeah, so. Right now, I'm trying to find more information about this town, but. The librarian isn't that helpful with that.
