I don't really know Villanelle other than the fact Cristina Yang is in the show, but she sounds like a female Kol! He's one of the oldest vampires in his canon and has a reputation of being the most wild and dangerous because he'd go on murdering sprees to tame his boredom, so perhaps they could get along.

What are some of her interests?

I watched TVD for a while, so I vaguely know him and his canon :)

Would you be open to negative CR? I feel like they might snark at each other and piss each other off more than get along? But that could be fun! In canon when she's forced to work together with other assassins she's snarky and obstinate and then murders them, so if you're interested in fake making nice for the purposes of murder + sudden but inevitable betrayal... Since he's a vamp, she'd probably be easily overpowered, and I'm game for her to die or at least be injured horribly.

That said, I'm not letting her murder until later on, soooo for now, her interests... Lol, basically just murder. A lot of her likes aren't possible in Beacon, like fashion and visiting new places. She's very into picking up skills though so if he has something to teach she'd be interested in that?

Failing that, exploring together, even if it's just - we both randomly decided to pick this part of the forest to wander in - could work?

Definitely! Kol's pretty charming so so far he hasn't really generated any negative CR, and I feel like to have it with him that's beyond snark, you'd have to do something pretty horrible to him to get on his bad books. If she tried to murder him for e.g., that'd definitely put her in his bad books! He'd probably enjoy being snarky with someone who gives it back tbh.

From his canon point, his soul has been hexed to suffer from severe blood lust and intense anger problems, pretty much making him act out on being a vampire with very little self-control, which is something I'm hoping to start working on in 2020. If all else fails, I'm pretty sure saying the wrong thing at the wrong time will do the trick!

That said, when you go murdering, I'm happy for her to try to murder Kol and that's what puts her temporarily in the ground!

As for things that interest him, Kol knows hand to hand, a lot about the supernatural world, baseball, and dancing. He does want to explore, so they can probably go exploring! Murder some trees and bugs, that's a great bonding experience.

For the short term, you know what, I think she'd be interested in the dancing. Is he likely to try and give lessons or organise a dance evening?

He probably wouldn't give lessons but he does have a record player and some albums (whether they're danceable to is another question) that I can easily have him bring out from his place and play publicly. Someone showing interest in wanting to dance with a partner would have him up — and someone who wants to learn is something he'd teach! Kol's always looking for something fun to do. c:
