As always, it's been incredible to see just how much everyone has been willing to reach out to one another both in and out of character, and with a wide variety of new players (and new characters from old players) having joined us recently, there's sure to be a lot to talk about! ۵ TAGGING STYLE: LONDON INNIT, so gmt. i can be pretty slow, but i try and back tag for as long as needed! i prefer action to prose as a general rule, but that's just me being a weird asshole about aesthetics. i won't not write prose.
۵ ABOUT: oh jesus. i'm a hideous (vegan) cliché that drinks too much coffee and wine in east london. i work for an independent fashion/lifestyle brand that's music adjacent, so some of my time is spent organising local events with local british artists. OUTSIDE OF MUSIC, i like sleep even tho i never get enough of it, skateboarding, and gigs. also comics i guess.

UH okay, no, peter is a giant nerd who takes responsibility for fucking everything thanks to being an arrogant little shit as a teenager, which resulted in the death of his uncle ben. he has a lot of feelings about a lot of things, and he's kind of sticky. and weird.

oh, and kinda nice, well-meaning, slightly self-righteous also totally fucking obnoxious.

idk it's spider-man WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO SAY? except like if you're not comics familiar, pete is ... an adult. ex-teacher, ex-photojournalist, ex-ceo and absolute national disgrace (twice).

۵ DESIRED CR: i'll be perfectly honest and admit that i've just re-read back in black so i kind of want to fuck around with negative cr to some extent. OUTSIDE OF THAT, i'm down for all kinds of cr tbh — peter slots pretty easily into a mentorship kind of role with teenagers and kids, even if he'd be a bit reluctant to use that term himself.
۵ UNDESIRED CR: the only thing that would be super fucking slow to build and a hard-no rn is romance. at the canon point i've taken peter from, he's (back) in a relationship with mary jane, and he'd be reluctant to give up on that. Y'KNOW in case anyone fancied themselves a spider-nerd.
۵ PLANS: more explores! but tbh until the sandman event is over, i'm not 100% on solid plans because i'm interested in seeing the fallout from that since psychological horror is my fucking jam.

THIS MONTH we shall make it happen somehow!! tbh peter’s still not really ... admitting to the whole spider-man thing and he spends less time in the suit than he would do if like, there were more constant threats on beacon. WHICH IS LIKE the long way of saying that jason would probably ping the ~superhero part of peter but he wouldn’t mention a whole lot about it except vaguely and in a ‘i know a guy’ sense.

BUT YEAH EITHER WAY i am here for it. was there something you’d like to thread out with peter by the way? because i absolutely don’t mind setting something up pre-sandman event, or we can plan something out for after the event?

That makes sense. Although, I should probably clarify that by this point they've at least exchanged names cause Jason is the type to go around and introduce himself to anyone living at the Invincible.

Let's just save our energy for post-event \o/ I've got a lot juggling at the moment, but post -event would be fun...hopefully...if they aren't all super scarred.

We're about to jump into the event and I'm happy to see how it goes, but if you're game for negative CR they can totally get off on the wrong foot and snipe at each other? Villanelle is basically a child when it comes to maturity.

Real life aside: can you give me recs for like, cool places to catch gigs in London because OMG I've been here over a year now and I feel like I barely know the place.

OH MAN okay so full disclosure, my taste in music is terrible/obnoxious and i basically don’t venture anywhere west of soho, so with all that in mind, some of my favourites include:

the 100 club (which is on oxford street and it tends to have some great shows. it’s also pretty fucking small)
I ASSUME U KNOW BRIXTON, but the o2 does have some rad bands play. i caught bikini kill there earlier in the year and it was basically the best night of my life am i exaggerating? who knows
moth club (hackney)
the bird’s nest (this is a pub south of the fucking river in deptford, but it rocks. it tends to have punk and metal bands, and they also do a banging sunday roast). unrelated to gigs but related to deptford: there’s a sweet coffee shop around there called the waiting room.
the shacklewell arms (hackney)
oslo (...also hackney. ftr, i feel i should mention that i actually don't live in hackney.)
new cross inn

there was the montague arms around peckham/new cross, but it closed this year sadly.

and speaking of hackney, there's a fucking awesome coffee roastery/shop called dark arts/i will kill again which i fully recommend checking out - they do great food and even better coffee. there's also the grand howl...

I haven't got the app, I'll take a look! And actually the cafe recs are great, I just made a resolution to do more writing in cafes and less at home on my own like a recluse, so it's useful stuff!

sometimes i just scroll through dice to see what's going on and check out bands that seem interesting - it also takes out the online booking fee from a lot of places, which is neat!

oh! if you want something scenic, check out white mulberries at st. katharine docks (nr. london bridge).

Honestly this is all great, I really don't see much live music at all, so having recs is super helpful. My sister's just moved to London with me this Sept for Uni, and I told her I have a list of cool places to check out now, we're psyched :D If you think of any more, totally add or PM/Discord me or whatever.

I love Peter Benjamin Parker and am so upset at myself for still not getting CR with him! I'm not sure what kind of CR I can offer with Kol, but he's an old af vampire, ex-witch, ex-dead x2 times, and sort of an antagonist on his bad days—and a prankster, which is the most important thing. He's great to go on an exploration with since he's strong, has super everything, etc. He's also never met a superhero before so your kink is really weird, Pete!

I'm trying to think of a way we could have some negative CR because Kol would be antagonistic if provoked but it's impossible to think of "negative CR" and "Peter B. Parker." 😣
