Elle reflects that this is one of the few places she's been where Spirit Halloween isn't going to spring up in a haunted mall at some point during the year. That's a weird thought, for someone who's lived in Los Angeles most of her life and gotten used to it. Halloween was a time when her weird interests were finally seen as acceptable; she loved Halloween, even if she wasn't really allowed to dress up.

She's grateful that Matt laughs, even if her joke would have made everyone at Zier Security find a pencil to toss at her. There often aren't that many people around, where she's from, and she doesn't get a lot of practice out of telling jokes. It isn't like the Moth can judge humor. He buzzes at her for treats and scritches either way.

"I mean, I've seen worse costumes. These at least don't look like they'll evaporate after a few hours," she notes, digging through and coming up with a bright pink and poodle number -- which confuses her for a second. "And... if anyone really wants a poodle skirt, we can tell them right where to go."

Maybe it'll ward off unfriendly creatures, looking at the painfully 50s face of the poodle.

"I'm Ellever, by the way," she introduces herself. "Are you looking for something specific?"
